I am astounded to read these stories from Australia. Now Australia has a new conservative government that is skeptical about so-called climate change. So, I am not totally surprised. But I did find this from the recent minutes of a town called Coffs Harbour in New South Wales:
CP13/48 UPDATE – MEMBERSHIP TO THE UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL FOR LOCAL ENVIRONMENTALINITIATIVES (ICLEI)Council at its meeting of 14 November 2013 considered a Notice of Motion titled“Membership to the United Nations International Council for Local EnvironmentalInitiatives (ICLEI)” and resolved as follows:A report be brought back to the Council Meeting on 12 December 2013 detailing what is the cost to Coffs Harbour Council for their membership to the United Nations ICLEI? Please include Annual Membership; Cost of implementation of the policies that are required under this organisation; When is this annual fee due; What requirements are needed to withdraw from this organisation, the ramifications and benefits. Was it a resolution of Council to join this organisation and the year joined?343 RESOLVED(Rhoades/Sultana) that Council notes the content of this report and continues its membership of ICLEI.
There are still free people in Australia. When it became clear that the ‘news’ media would not publish the truth about ICLEI’s influence on local government or about the facts of UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development, free people stepped up. The following is a note from someone who purchased advertising space in the newspapers and published the information that has been hidden from the people of Far North Queensland, Australia, and the rest of the world. – See more at: http://www.democratsagainstunagenda21.com/1/post/2013/10/grabbing-the-bull-by-the-horns-in-australia-fighting-agenda-21.html#sthash.QC6OF4Dv.dpuf
Local Government is not recognized in the Australian Constitution, it was created through State Government Legislation (Local Government Act 1993). As the member for Cook I would like you to please address the issue of a non-elected foreign organization interfering with Australias Sovereignty, through the Queensland State Government created Local Councils.
As a State Liberal National Party representative I would also like to draw your attention to the LNP Noosa SEC & LNP Wide Bay FDC Resolution that was passed at the 2013 LNP Queensland State Convention 21 July 2013.Namely; “That, the LNP opposes laws and/or regulations being made by Local, State, and Federal governments that enact the policy objectives of United Nations Agenda 21”.
The LNP is the Liberal National Party and it is a center-right party that has a huge majority in the state parliament in Queensland! Might Queensland ban ICLEI? Well, my early results is that no one has taken Edwards seriously but I plan to friend him on FB and we’ll see if I get a report from the brave activist in Queensland determined to keep his state and nation free! We can do no less – let’s start a new round of our own anti-ICLEI agitation!
